An Elumenati GeoDome Panorama provides social, collaborative VR experiences at the PEAK Institute at HIES, in Atlanta, GA. In this immersive learning lab, the HIES team are expanding on established GeoDome use cases, using WorldViewer as a media mashup tool to build immersive lessons on cultural studies, history and literature. They’re also exploring Earth and space science with data from NASA and NOAA. Students and teachers are creating the lessons, using a broad range of media types from 360° video to videogames, even incorporating a generative art project created by a HIES faculty member. The 6.8m diameter screen is lit with a single OmniFocus laser projection system at 4K resolution, making operations and maintenance simple.
