This work is the product of a year-long research-based project at the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives funded by the Robert D. L. Gardiner Foundation. A group of students worked closely with faculty mentors to draw inspiration from journalists past and present, particularly Edith Evans Asbury who wrote for the metro desk at The New York Times for three decades. These students are the first researchers to ever access her papers. The project unites archival work and public engagement with the people and neighborhoods of New York City.
